“…The use of relative clauses has been mastered by English-speaking children by middle and late childhood (Diessel & Tomasello, 2001). Although complex syntactic tasks that elicit high processing demands affect stuttering frequency in adults (Tsiamtsiouris & Cairns, 2013), our finding is consistent with the point made by Silverman and Ratner (1997) that the negative effects of syntactic complexity on the speech motor systems of CWS may reduce with increasing age. For example, Walsh et al (2015) found that 4-to 5-yearold CWS produced short simple sentences with significantly greater articulatory variability compared with CWNS.…”

“…In future research, however, it might be feasible to use non-reading speaking tasks such as modeled sentences or production of rehearsed sentences, both of which provide some control over sentence form and content. Both Logan (2001) and Tsiamtsiouris and Cairns (2013) provide examples of such tasks.…”

“…A hallás utáni mondatismétlés komplex mentális folyamatokat igényel, pontos működése számos tényező függvénye. Döntően meghatározza a memória (mind a rövid idejű, mind a hosszú idejű emlékezet) működése (Jefferies et al 2004;Potter-Lombardi 1990), hiszen vissza kell emlékeznünk az elhangzó közlésnek/mondatnak nemcsak a hangszerkezetére, de a közlés/mondat formájára, annak grammatikai szerkezetére, a szórendre, a szavak számára (Tsiamtsiouris-Smith Cairns 2013). Az egyén beszédpercepciós mechanizmusa s a beszédprodukciós folyamatok szintén befolyásolják a mondatismétlést (Gósy 2016;Nag et al 2017).…”

“…A mondatok helyességét a szakirodalom szerint a mondatok grammatikai komplexitása nagymértékben behatárolja (Tsiamtsiouris-Smith Cairns 2013). Ezért feltételeztem, hogy a mondatok terjedelme és a grammatikai szerkezete egyaránt befolyásolja a mondatok ismétlésének helyességét.…”
