Electrical discharge dressing has advantages of high precision, high e ciency and low cost, which is an effective dressing method for metal bonded diamond grinding wheel. In this paper, the in uence of discharge voltage, discharge current and power pulse width on the surface morphology of the grinding wheel were studied by single factor method. The grinding experiments of SiC ceramics were carried out and the surface morphology of the grinding wheel and the surface roughness of the workpiece after grinding a certain volume of SiC ceramics were analyzed. The experimental results show that large electrical parameters can improve the dressing e ciency, but the grinding wheel surface appears more adverse phenomena such as abrasive shedding, looseness, bond melting recasting. In the early stage of grinding wheel, surface damage is serious, and grinding workpiece surface roughness is poor. It provides a practical reference for the reasonable selection of EDM dressing of metal bond diamond grinding wheel.
