“…However, the product distribution of thermal cracking is dependent on feed, temperature and residence time. Though various reports appeared in the literature that dealt with the linear alpha olefin production from thermal wax and polyethylene cracking, a systematic study involving feed and temperature dependent LAO product distribution is not reported. 7−10 The traditional approach to obtain the “optimal parameters” for the required LAO synthesis in batch or continuous process involves the reactions at different temperatures with various feed stocks in the quantities of ∼100 g scale and the separation of the fractions for speciation analysis through GC‐MS.…”

“…6 Recently, a cocatalytic system based on a tandem dehydrogenation-metathesis sequence was applied to polyethylene (PE). 7 The depolymerization relies on the selectively of one catalyst to dehydrogenate PE, forming internal double bonds, and an olefin metathesis catalyst to cleave the polymer into smaller segments at the double bonds.…”

“…[136] In addition to acidic properties, noble metals (e. g., Pt, Ir, Ru, Rh) supported on metal oxides have been found to improve nalkane hydrogenolysis. [137,[234][235][236][237][238][239] In particular, the conversion of polyolefins over SrTiO 3 perovskite nanocubes to support welldispersed Pt nanoparticles yields high-quality liquid products (lubricants and waxes) with a narrow distribution of carbon chains under 170 psi H 2 and 300°C. [137] The success of the catalyst was attributed to the electronic and geometric properties of Pt/SrTiO 3 , where there was a lattice-match between FCC Pt and the SrTiO 3 {100} facets, which resulted in significant metal-support interactions and prevented sintering.…”
