In particular, MPB community shifts have been associated with mollusks employing a variety of feeding modes including deposit feeding (Connor & Edgar, 1982; Hagerthey et al, 2002), suspension feeding (Cognie et al, 2001; Houki et al, 2018), and grazing on hard substrata (Nicotri, 1977).
