Show more

“…This reduction, when deriving from the application of the herbicide, was possibly caused by its action, which interfered in the development of the forage grasses. These results corroborate what was observed by Rezende et al (2014) who, when evaluating the use of bentazon at the 0.72 kg ha -1 dose in maize intercrop with palisade grass, observed a reduction in the dry matter of this forage species.…”

“…Competition can be mitigated with the adoption of agronomic practices, such as herbicide application, which can partially inhibit the initial growth rate of forages (ADEGAS; VOLL; GAZZIERO, 2011;REZENDE et al, 2014). Therefore, to achieve success in the intercropping between annual and forage crops it is necessary to guarantee the initial competitive advantage of the crop by environmental resources, which can be achieved with applications of herbicide underdoses.…”

“…The association of herbicides has been studied in corn cultivation, especially glyphosate in association with nicosulfuron, atrazine, 2,4-D, bentazon, and tembotrione or even among associations of the latter herbicides (Jakelaitis et al, 2007;Rezende et al, 2014;Vieira Junior et al, 2015;Osório et al, 2015). Armel et al (2008) assessed the effect of ammonium glufosinate with mesotrione whereas Silva et al (2017) assessed ammonium glufosinate in association with glyphosate and atrazine.…”
