Klungkung Regency is one of Cayenne Pepper centre producers in Bali which was declared as a horticulture commodities development area, particularly Cayenne Pepper. Most farmers are still applied traditional technologies on Cayenne Pepper production; hence farmers have limittied knowledge about efficiency of Cayenne Pepper production. This research is aimed to understand the efficiency and inefficiency production factors of Cayenne Pepper farming system in Klungkung Regency, Bali Province. Data were collected using questioners on survey techniques. Number of respondents were 40 farmers, consists of 22 farmers from Getakan Village, Banjarangkan District, and 18 farmers from Gelgel Village, Klungkung District. Collected data were analysed by stochastic frontier approach with front 4.1 analysis tools. Results of this research showed that input factors have positive effect to improve Cayenne Pepper production are land area, potassium (K) and manure fertilizer applications. Whereas input factor have negative effect to Cayenne Pepper production are phosphate (P) fertilizer and ZA application. Meanwhile, social factors have negative effect to inefficiency Cayenne Pepper production is education level of farmers.

Rice is a commodity that has a dominant role in providing food for the people of Indonesia. Rice production in 2014 to 2018 has increased, but the agricultural system in its cultivation is still largely inorganic and has a negative impact on the environment. However, this condition is no longer experienced by farmers in Sumberngepoh Village, because farmers have used organic rice cultivation systems. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that are predicted to have an effect on organic rice production, measure the level of efficiency and sources of inefficiency, and calculate the potential of products lost due to inefficiencies. This research was conducted in Sumberngepoh Village, Lawang District, Malang Regency in October 2019. Sampling was carried out by census. The research method uses the Stochastic Frontier Production Function with the Cobb-Douglass model. The results of this study indicate that the variable land, seeds, labor, and liquid organic fertilizer significantly influence. The average level of technical efficiency is 0.84%. The research results also showed that technical inefficiencies in the age, education, and frequency of participating in counseling had negative values. Potential product losses due to technical inefficiencies were on average 793.61 kg

The purpose of this research to appraise the income of rice farming, to set the risk of rice production, examine the degrees of efficiency of rice farming and economic sustainability for rice farmers in Sambas Regency. The primary data used in the research was obtained using a structured questionnaire administered to 60 selected farmers. R / C ratio, coefficient of variation, and the stochastic frontier production function were used to analyze the data. The results exhibited that rice farming in Sambas Regency was profitable with income reaching Rp. 7,696,442/ha. The degree of risk faced by farmers is moderate, which is 0.5. The average levels of technical, allocative, and economic efficiency of rice farming in Sambas District were 0.811, 0.986, and 0.80. This result exhibits that paddy farmers can increase their technical efficiency and allocative efficiency to achieve economically efficient conditions. Efforts to increase higher economic efficiency can be carried out by increasing the use of management as well as improving the level of input allocation used by paying attention to input prices to achieve a minimum cost level.
