Abstract: Fiir die Entstehung des melanotischen Pigments in den Epithelzellen der Epidermis ist G. Schwalbe auf das entsehiedenste eingetreten; er gibt zwar zu, dab auch eine ,,selbst~ndige Pigmentierung fixer Bindegewebszellen" vorkommt, aber eine Melaninablagerung in den Epithelien der Epidermis durch in diese eingewanderte Pigmentzellen lehnt Schwalbe ab.
