Batik cual is one textile product characterizing the local wisdom of the native people in Bangka Belitung Province. The increased production of Batik Cual produces wastewater containing hazardous metals that are carcinogenic and toxic to the enviroment, one of which is metals Fe, while for handing metal Fe in Batik Cual waste, the adsorption method is carried out with Aldrich brand chitosan as an adsorbent and Batik Cual waste from batik home craftsmen, Selindung Lama, Bangka Belitung Province, with variations in contact time used 10, 20, 30, and 40 minutes on 2 grams of chitosan and 100 ml of raw batik waste. The Atomic Absorpstion Spectroscopy (AAS) testing was carried out to determine the level of metal Fe content. Based one the results of the AAS test for Fe adsorption, the highest adsorbent efficiency value was 26.28% at a contact time of 40 minutes. Meanwhile, the adsorption kinetics mechanism of the dissolved iron (Fe) ion Batik Cual wastewater follows a pseudo-second-order adsorption kinetics model with adsorption rate and maximum adsorption capacity of 4.6913 g mg-1 minute-1 and0.0091 mg/g.
