El rol protagónico de la mujer en el desarrollo sustentable de la comunidad

Abstract

This paper aims at reviewing issues that have been generated in the last decades on the differences between men and women in leadership styles. Of special interest is the woman's contribution as a single individual within a community. It will focus on present studies without detracting from the classical approach of scientific research conducted since the early twentieth century, showing that the performance or satisfaction were not the result of differences among its members, but due to leadership styles exerted by the group leader. The factors taken into account in responding to this paper's proposal are: (a) the possible differences between men and women in their leadership styles; and (b) the female gender and its contribution to the community. The conclusion shows the key issue beings one of ethics in dealing with gender.
