Show more

“…The estimated industrial production was 0.069, less than similar previous studies (Dantas et al, 2016;Mattos and Lima, 2005). The proxy used for this variable was the industrial physical production index provided by IBGE.…”

“…There are studies that support the use of marginal price Reiss and White, 2005), and studies that support the use of average price (Irffi et al, 2009;Martins et al, 2021;Uhr et al, 2019). The problem is that marginal prices are not available in Brazil, so studies developed on industrial demand use average prices (Dantas et al, 2016;Gross et al, 2017;. However, older works (Parks and Weitzel, 1984), as well as contemporary studies (Cialani and Mortazavi, 2018;Huntington et al, 2019), argue that industrial consumers respond better to the average prices.…”

“…At regionalized levels, the research is even more sparse. Only Dantas et al, (2016), Dantas et al (2017), Irffi et al (2009), and studied industrial demand regionally.…”

“…The elasticity data adopted in this paper for residential and commercial consumers are based on [19,20]. The load curve is divided into three different periods according to its behavior, namely off-peak, mid-peak, and on-peak periods, and elasticity data is assigned to each period.…”
