Electric Analysis of the Maritime Application High-Frequency Magnetohydrodynamic Thruster

Abstract: A magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) thruster is the next-generation electric jet engine for maritime applications. It eliminates the moving mechanical components that make the noises and reduces physical harm to sea creatures. This paper finds that aluminum electrodes have higher conductivity and less capacitive value in a KCl solution than the 316 stainless steel and zinc in MHD applications.
