Electrical Power Generation Using Footsteps

Abstract: Electricity is the most general forms of energy used across the world. This paper focuses on designing a setup that leads to the generation of electrical energy which is going to waste when humans are walking. Footsteps are an untapped natural resources. This generated energy is, however, costeffective and nonhazardous for human. Electrical energy can be produced by converting mechanical energy using footsteps. Generating the electric power through the fabrication of footstep arrangement by a prototype compris… Show more

“…The highest voltage obtained was 8.29V. The researchers in [5] proposed a system in which an electrical energy is produced by converting the mechanical energy using a prototype that compromises a pipe, nozzle, unidirectional valve, water reservoir, turbine, and a DC motor. The obtained energy is stored in a battery.…”

“…The revolution per minute (RPM) value of the dynamo or motor used for this type of device has a great impact on the performance. Mahmood [4] used a pneumatic fluid pressure based system where water is used for the fluid-flown through nozzle and rotating turbines for electricity. Pascual [5] fabricated a model from stainless steel, recycled tires, and aluminium; making the device nature friendly and green technology.…”
