Abstract:The review presents different types of biosensors and their principles of operation that are currently used to detect heavy metals and lead. Biosensors are considered highly sensitive, specific, accurate, inexpensive and effective tools for the preliminary detection of one or more metals in sources of mixed pollution, especially in wastewater. The use of functional nanomaterials based on metal-organic frameworks and layered hydroxides allowed to miniaturize the design of biosensors and significantly improve th… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
