“…As depicted in fig.7 (a), the peak current increases with applied negative potential up to -0.7 V and then decreases sharply, while for time it shows higher current for 180 sec as observed from fig 7(b). The sharp decrease in current at -0.9 V may be ascribed to the reduction of hydrogen followed with bubbling which interfered with As (III) reduction and stripping due to reduce effective electrode surface area [16], hence optimal potential of -0.7 V was chosen for further sensing study. Accordingly, in the case of deposition time, after 180 sec, (where the peak shape and sensitivity is good), observed decrease in current can be assigned to saturation of NHs/GC electrode surface.…”

“…(5) The analysis can be simplified by: the replacement of precious metal electrodes by inexpensive materials [44,47,33,60,[99][100][101][102][103][104]; analysis without removing oxygen from solution [38,55,75,91]; minimizing the sample preparation stage by eliminating the reduction of As(V) to As(III), and speciation of As in the field. Automation of procedures is helpful and there has been some research aimed at creating microfluidic total analysis systems which would be ideal for this purpose [4].…”
