Electromagnetic interference in medical devices: Health Canada's past and current perspectives and activities

Abstract: Electromagnetic interference (EMI) from radiofrequency sources may cause a variety of medical devices to malfunction, compromising patient safety. An overview of Health Canada's efforts to ensure that medical devices are safe from EM1 is presented.
