“…[16] Naphthalene diimide (NDI) is known as a redoxactive electron acceptor (A) with a large π-surface. [17] Co-MOF was synthesized by using a solvothermal method. Single-crystal analysis revealed that it crystallized in monoclinic, P2 1 /n space group (Table S1 in the Supporting Information).…”

“…S4, ESI †) indicate that there is significant orbital overlap between the NDI-py molecules. Such an infinite p-stacked array of NDI cores in coordination polymers is still rare, 1,17,[32][33][34][35][36][37][38] even though vast numbers of coordination polymers with NDIbased ligands have been reported. 39,40 The LUMO level of NDI-py in PMC-2 was calculated to be À4.17 eV from the first reduction potential in the solid-state cyclic voltammogram (Fig.…”

“…The absorption band peaking at 337 nm is assigned to a π–π* transition of the organic ligand. 13 The visible absorption band around 478 nm is close to the absorption band of the partially protonated ligand in (NH 2 Me 2 )(HONDI) and thus can be assigned to the intramolecular charge transfer from N–O − to the NDI core. 8 Mn-ONDI-1 exhibits a similar absorption spectrum except for a slightly red-shifted and broader visible absorption band at 520 nm that may originate from a stronger intramolecular charge transfer because of the shorter interplanar distance between the ligands.…”
