“…In previous studies, bla , bla OXA-40-like and bla OXA-58-like genes have been described for carbapenem-resistant non-A. baumannii isolates from China, Colombia, France, Germany and the Irish Republic (Bonnin et al, 2014;Boo et al, 2006;Evans et al, 2010;Wang et al, 2007). The present study demonstrated for the first time, the coexistence of oxacillinase genes in all carbapenem-resistant A. nosocomialis isolates and the existence of IMP in an A. junii blood isolate, in Iran.…”

“…OXA-72-producing A. pittii was first described in Colombia in 2012 from a catheter tip–positive culture of a patient who had ischaemic hepatitis and multiorgan failure [6] . This enzyme has subsequently been reported from carbapenem-resistant clinical isolates of A. pittii in France [7] . On the other hand, identification of NDM-positive non- baumannii Acinetobacter is now increasingly reported worldwide, concomitantly with those of A. baumannii isolates.…”

“…The increased prevalence of infections and colonization by P . aeruginosa São Paulo metallo-β-lactamases (SPM)-producers suggests that the gene bla SPM-1 settled successfully in plasmids and is associated with high risk of formation of clones, which can facilitate its global spread [ 21 , 22 ].…”
