In poultry, P. multocida A causes fowl cholera, while in cattle, sheep, goats and swine pneumonic pasteurellosis is associated with serotype D and P. multocida B: 2 or E: 2 cause haemorrhagic septicaemia in cattle and buffalo respectively (Niemann et al, 2019;Daphal et al 2018). Mannheimia haemolytica (formerly Pasteurella haemolytica) has two biotypes, A and T.
