ObjectiveTo identify the available guidance and training to implement telerehabilitation movement assessments for people (adults and children) with a physical disability, including those recovering from COVID-19.DesignRapid scoping review.Included sources and articlesPubMed, CINAHL, PsychInfo, Cochrane, Embase, Web of Science, PEDro, UK Health Forum, WHO, National Archives and NHS England were searched using the participant–concept–context framework from 2015 to August 2020. Primary studies that recruited individuals with physical disabilities and guidance documents aimed at providers to implement movement-related telerehabilitation were included.Results23 articles (11 primary research studies, 3 systematic reviews and 9 guidance documents) were included out of 7857 that were identified from the literature search. Two main issues were found: (1) telerehabilitation guidance (from both research studies and guidance documents) was not specific to movement-related assessment and (2) most primary research studies provided neither guidance nor training of movement-specific assessment to practitioners. Of the COVID-19 related guidance, two articles reported COVID-19 management that only referred to identifying COVID-19 status without references to specific movement-related guidance.ConclusionsTelerehabilitation guidance and training have existed pre-COVID-19, yet the lack of specific movement-related information and provider support is surprising. The importance of neurorehabilitation services for people with disabilities is getting well-recognized in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) recently. However, accessibility to the same has remained the most significant challenge, in these contexts. This is especially because of the non-availability of trained specialists and the availability of neurorehabilitation centers only in urban cities owned predominantly by private healthcare organizations. In the current COVID-19 pandemic, the members of the Task Force for research at the Indian Federation of Neurorehabilitation (IFNR) reviewed the context for tele-neurorehabilitation (TNR) and have provided the contemporary implications for practicing TNR during COVID-19 for people with neurological disabilities (PWNDs) in LMICs. Neurorehabilitation is a science that is driven by rigorous research-based evidence. The current pandemic implies the need for systematically developed TNR interventions that is evaluated for its feasibility and acceptability and that is informed by available evidence from LMICs. Given the lack of organized systems in place for the provision of neurorehabilitation services in general, there needs to be sufficient budgetary allocations and a sector-wide approach to developing policies and systems for the provision of TNR services for PWNDs. The pandemic situation provides an opportunity to optimize the technological innovations in health and scale up these innovations to meet the growing burden of neurological disability in LMICs. Thus, this immense opportunity must be tapped to build capacity for safe and effective TNR services provision for PWNDs in these settings.

COVID-19 is an acute respiratory disease associated with coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2 named coronavirus disease (COVID-19), coronavirus is interspecies, and can also be transmitted from human to human that has triggered a global pandemic over the past one year. As no particular medication is available at present as said preventive is better than cure must pursued. Many health professional like physiotherapist play a big role in understanding of COVID-19 and its precautionary steps to stop the spread of corona virus. Because a strong immunity will protect us, but prevention and recovery is an important way to cope up with the dangerous situation of COVID -19 diseases. And in rural area there is lack of hospital facilities so the need for the awareness, precautionary measures and rehabilitation is essential measures to spread of corona virus in community. Physiotherapist plays a primary rolls in awareness about precautionary and safety measures also physiotherapeutic care during acute and post Covid situation. Physiotherapist plays internal roll in community rehabilitation through home workouts, training for physical fitness by exercise, yoga and respiratory care exercises to increase strength and reduce disability. During this pandemic physiotherapist work on digital platform through telehealth, virtual group rehabilitation methods which work on health rehabilitation with also proper ergonomic training during work from home to reduce work hazards and improve productivity.
