STRESZCZENIEW niniejszym badaniu poszukiwano związku między dwiema zdolnościami emocjonalnymi (rozpoznawaniem i rozumieniem emocji) a strategiami radzenia sobie ze stresem, stosowanymi przez kobiety i mężczyzn. Analizy przeprowadzono na grupie 228 osób dorosłych (109 kobiet i 119 mężczyzn) w wieku 18-58 lat (M wieku = 27,46 lat). Strategie radzenia sobie ze stresem mierzono kwestionariuszem COPE, do pomiaru zdolności emocjonalnych wykorzystano natomiast testy SIE-T i TRE. Uzyskane wyniki wskazały na istnienie różnic międzypłciowych w zakresie zdolności rozumienia emocji i niektórych strategii radzenia sobie ze stresem. Zaobserwowano również różnice międzypłciowe w zakresie związków między zdolnościami emocjonalnymi a strategiami radzenia sobie ze stresem. Wynik ten może sugerować, że zdolności emocjonalne odgrywają odmienną rolę w radzeniu sobie ze stresem przez kobiety i mężczyzn.Słowa kluczowe: rozpoznawanie emocji, rozumienie emocji, inteligencja emocjonalna, strategie radzenia sobie ze stresem, różnice międzypłciowe WOMEN'S AND MEN'S EMOTIONAL ABILITIES AND STRESS COPING STRATEGIES ABSTR ACTThe present study examined the links between two emotional abilities (emotion recognizing and emotion understanding) and coping strategies in men and women. The analysis was conducted on the sample of 228 adults (109 women and 119 men) aged 18-58 years (M age = 27,46 years). Coping strategies were measured by the COPE inventory and emotional abilities were measured by the Emotional Intelligence Scale -Faces (SIE-T) and the Emotion Understanding Test (TRE). The results indicated gender differences in emotion understanding and some coping strategies. Different correlations between emotional abilities and coping strategies in men and women were also observed. This finding may suggest that emotional abilities play different role in stress coping in men and women.

The Outcomes of Integrating Concept Mapping in Nursing Education: An Integrative Review

Purpose: The purpose of this review was to investigate the current state of knowledge about the effectiveness of concept mapping in nursing education. Methods: An integrative review adapted a systematic approach. Also, after an extensive search from different databases, ten articles were retrieved and fully reviewed. Results: The ten reviewed articles were adopted quantitative, qualitative, and mixed method designs. Four main themes were identified: 1) from passive to active learners, 2) establishing new knowledge, 3) improving cognitive abilities, and 4) self-confidences in clinical work. Conclusion: Nursing literature supports the importance of including concept maps in nursing education. Educators believe that concept mapping is a motivating teaching strategy, hence, it is fostering the long-term and meaningful learning. Also, the findings of this study might encourage nursing educators to evaluate the current teaching strategies, also, this review might initiate future studies with larger sample size.
