Empoderamiento en el turismo rural. Propuesta de un instrumento de medición

Abstract

El objetivo del artículo es validar un instrumento de medición del empoderamiento en el contexto del turismo rural en comunidades indígenas. El instrumento se aplicó a 91 miembros de nueve comunidades rurales del Estado de México, México. Para ello, se verificó la confiabilidad y la validez a través de coeficientes de consistencia interna y el análisis compuesto de confirmación. El instrumento reflejó una excelente consistencia interna global y la estructura factorial develó cuatro tipos de empoderamiento: psicológico, político, social y económico validando su pertinencia de medición. La aportación permite consolidar la teoría del empoderamiento en grupos o comunidades dedicadas a la prestación de servicios turísticos en entornos rurales. Asimismo, se concluye que la validación de instrumentos facilita y proporciona insumos a las nuevas investigaciones para replantear y explicar el comportamiento del fenómeno cuando se presenta en otras realidades.
