This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:To evaluate the benefits and harms of emtricitabine versus no intervention, placebo, and non-emtricitabine interventions in adults with lamivudine-resistant, chronic hepatitis B virus infection.
