Context: Collaboration is an important aspect of DevOps. However, researchers continue to report problems with collaboration between development and operations. Objective: We aim to contribute to a better understanding of collaboration in the context of DevOps, especially to aid in adopting DevOps. Method: We conducted a literature review on collaboration and corresponding success factors. For practice we classified the factors into factors influencing the likelihood of collaboration and factors influencing the performance of collaboration, to aid in the adoption of DevOps. We will validate the factors of collaboration in a DevOps context using an inductive approach, i.e. semi-structured interviews and document studies. Results: We developed an initial framework of success factors and classified the found success factors. Subsequently we conducted two interviews. We learned that most factors are considered as important, however few factors could be confirmed and no more factors are added. We will interview the other respondents to prove the applicability of the framework. Which may identify promising avenues for further development of the framework. Conclusions: This is study is not finalized yet, therefore we cannot fully answer the main research question.

In the current 5.0 era, almost all documents are digitally packaged, and the university needs to adapt to ever-evolving technology. For students, the test card is essential as proof of the contest to carry out the final exam. However, in practice, some University Student Exam Card sheets still adopt the traditional nature of queues. This will cause problems if the exam card can be lost or damaged. Digitalization can disruption the world of education, especially Exam Cards that are digital and systematically stored on the website page. SiS + is a Student iLearning Services that can make it easier for Raharja University students to access all their lecture needs by digitizing them. The YII Framework-based SiS + website's development uses the DevOps method to get online exam cards because applicable regulations fulfill student attendance. This research is expected to transform the student management system efficiency, reduce queues, and implement physical distancing during a pandemic.

Some other papers, as those published by Bobrov, 19 Yasar, 20 or Airaj, 21 revolve around the definition of concepts in the academic area, as they show the basics of DevOps and give insights about possible implementation curricula. When it comes to training DevOps practices, there is not much research done according to Leite et al 15 Moreover, according to these authors, there is a clear need of research regarding the training of operation topics in software engineers courses, as the adoption of DevOps is greatly conditioned by the level skill of the stakeholders.…”

DevOps has been identified by industry as one of the cornerstones of their development process. It is not just a set of tools but a set of principles and practices to build an efficient team improving the communication and collaboration. Its importance has greatly impacted even hiring processes being DevOps Engineer among the most recruited jobs according to LinkedIn. But it is not clear whether universities have noticed the magnitude this movement has attained in industry, despite the need of higher education and industry building up advances together. This led us to determine whether there is a gap between the training provided by higher education and the one expected from industry. For this aim, a questionnaire, defined after a careful review of the literature, has been run worldwide to answer the four research questions. The analysis arose several conclusions, such as higher prevalence of use than of training for most of the analyzed technological practices, except for those related to architecture, probably due to the migration cost these require. It was also found that the two practices with higher prevalence in industry, feedback and limit‐WIP, are scarcely trained in higher education. These conclusions provide interesting advice for future adaptations of computer science degrees.
