Enantioselective Cross‐Exchange between C−I and C−C σ Bonds

Abstract: A palladium‐catalyzed enantioselective intramolecular σ‐bond cross‐exchange between C−I and C−C bonds is realized, providing chiral indanones bearing an alkyl iodide group and an all‐carbon quaternary stereocenter. Pd/TADDOL‐derived phosphoramidite is found to be an efficient catalytic system for both C−C bond cleavage and alkyl iodide reductive elimination. In addition to aryl iodides, aryl bromides can also be used for this transformation in the presence of KI. Density‐functional theory (DFT) calculation stu… Show more

“…In addition, the microscopy images indicate that the nanoparticles did not coincide with cancer cells. This corroborates that the GC-AuNPs did not interact with cancer cells, but with the immune cells, as was expected from in vitro uptake experiments described elsewhere 27 . Furthermore, previous in vivo study also showed that in non-metastatic mice, the injected GC-AuNPs are found in subcapsular sinuses across the SLN 27 .…”

“…Glycol-chitosan enhances hydrophilicity, stability and biocompatibility of AuNPs 26 . In previous studies, we found that GC-AuNPs could be effectively used for in vivo contrastenhanced photoacoustic mapping of cervical lymph nodes in healthy mice, generating highcontrast images due to uptake by immune cells 27 . Further in vitro studies have shown that, within 24 hours, GC-AuNPs are preferentially uptaken by immune cells rather than cancer cells 27 .…”

“…Additionally, compared to using one electric field direction with long pulse duration, the short-duration pulsed scanning could reduce the risk on inducing irreversible electroporation, in turn, improving the cell viability. [40][41] 3D μ-electrotransfection system for 3D cell culture.…”

“…This cycloisomerization reaction proved to be quite general as both the palladium-and nickel-catalyzed carboiodination provided access to a variety of structurally diverse compounds. 32,33,[42][43][44][34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41] In particular, in 2014 we reported the palladium-catalyzed carboiodination reaction to generate syn iodo-dihydroisoquinolones 37 and in 2019 reported the nickel catalyzed variant which gave access to the corresponding anti-iodo-dihydroisoquinolones. 41 With access to both the anti-and syn-diastereomers of the iodinated compounds, we had an ideal opportunity to investigate the reversibility of the carbohalogenation process.…”
