Energy Efficient Neighbor Coverage Protocol for Reducing Rebroadcast in MANET

Abstract: Wireless networks adapt easily to changes and offers flexibility in the configuration of the network. In MANET, each node will change its location dynamically and configure itself according to the environment. An effective mechanism for route discovery in such networks is broadcasting, but routing overhead associated with broadcasting can be large in high dynamic networks. To reduce this routing overhead in MANETs, a neighbor coverage based probabilistic rebroadcast protocol is used. To determine the rebroadca… Show more

“…Compared to the other three broadcasting schemes which include AODV, fixed probabilistic scheme AODV-P, and the dynamic noise-dependent probabilistic scheme (DNDP), the CAPB scheme performs better in terms of overhead routing, throughput and end-to-end delay. Energy Efficient Neighbor Coverage protocol (EENCP) was proposed by [16] to route discovery in MANET. Uncovered neighbor and neighborhood node density are two metric factors considered under the EENCP protocol to reduce the forwarding of the RREQ packet.…”

“…In practice, the broadcasting signal to find the path from source to destination, because all mobile nodes execute small battery power. In this connection, to find the energy efficient path between sender and receiver [2]. In order to proposed broadcast based more efficient path to find between sender and receiver using binary tree search based network approach using depth search.…”
