Energy Resource-Saving Technology of Accelerated Potato Seed Breeding in the Forest Steppe of the Novosibirsk Probie

Abstract: The results of comprehensive research in 2017–2020 on the effectiveness of improving the health of new zoned and promising potato varieties of three groups of ripeness in the conditions of leached chernozem of the forest-steppe of the Novosibirsk Ob region are presented. The energy-saving, environmentally friendly technology of accelerated potato seed production was used. It is shown that the recovery from viruses of the planting material provides an increase in the yield of different potato varieties up to 42… Show more

“…which is below the biological productivity potential of 76 t/ha [1][2][3][4]. The main reasons for the insufficient productivity of this crop are the imperfection of the methods of using chemicals, as well as the system of tillage, the absence of early potato varieties that provide high productivity in combination with good quality, resistance of plants and tubers to diseases, and especially the quality of planting material [5,6]. It is necessary to adapt modern agricultural technologies to natural socio-economic conditions with a high degree of accuracy of technological elements that help reduce the energy intensity of production processes while increasing the economic parameters of technologies in terms of good quality planting material [7][8][9].…”
