Innovation is defined as the act of innovating, a new concept or idea, which aims to improve quality. Innovation skills can be developed during the undergraduate course, through different teaching-learning methodologies. With the aim of listing the methodologies used and correlating them with innovation skills, a quantitative, exploratory-descriptive study was developed with 13 Nursing undergraduate professors. Data collection took place between February and March 2023, with descriptive statistical analysis. As results, from a teaching perspective, there was a correlation of methodologies with potential for the development of innovation skills, with emphasis on simulation, identified as correlated to the nineteen skills listed. It is concluded that in teaching practice, the correlation between the methodologies used and the innovation skills that can be developed in their application was perceived, which constitutes an important contribution to teaching innovation and the teaching of innovation.
