The electrochemical sensing performance of metal-graphene hybrid based sensor may be significantly decreased due to the dissolution and aggregation of metal catalyst during operation. For the first time, we developed a novel large-area high quality three dimensional graphene foam-incorporated gold nanoparticles (3D-GF@Au) via chemical vapor deposition method and employed as free-standing electrocatalysis for non-enzymatic electrochemical glucose detection. 3D-GF@Au based sensor is capable to detect glucose with a wide linear detection range of 2.5 μM to 11.6 mM, remarkable low detection limit of 1 μM, high selectivity, and good stability. This was resulted from enhanced electrochemical active sites and charge transfer possibility due to the stable and uniform distribution of Au NPs along with the enhanced interactions between Au and GF. The obtained results indicated that 3D-GF@Au hybrid can be expected as a high quality candidate for non-enzymatic glucose sensor application.

Catching cancer at an early stage is necessary to make it easier to treat and to save people's lives rather than just extending them. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) have sparked a huge interest owing to their vital role in various biological processes, especially in tumorigenesis, thus leading to the potential of ROS as prognostic biomarkers for cancer. Herein, a non-enzymatic biosensor for the dynamic monitoring of intracellular hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ), the most important ROS, via an effective electrode composed of poly (diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA)-capped reduced graphene oxide (RGO) nanosheets with high loading trimetallic AuPtAg nanoalloy, is proposed. The designed biosensor was able to measure H 2 O 2 released from different cancerous cells promptly and precisely owing to the impressive conductivity of RGO and PDDA and the excellent synergistic effect of the ternary alloy in boosting the electrocatalytic activity. Built upon the peroxidase-like activity of the nanoalloy, the developed sensor exhibited distinguished electrochemical performance, resulting in a low detection limit of 1.2 nM and a wide linear range from 0.05 µM to 5.5 mM. Our approach offers a significant contribution toward the further elucidation of the role of ROS in carcinogenesis and the effective screening of cancer at an early stage.It has been proven that reactive oxygen species (ROS), including superoxide (O 2− ), hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ), hydroxyl radicals, and peroxynitrite, are messenger molecules, which can turn various biological processes on and off [6]. Balanced ROS metabolism increases antioxidant ability, thereby establishing a barrier against tumorigenesis [7,8]. However, DNA damage caused by ROS results in genomic instability and altered gene expression, while ROS-mediated signaling pathways also drive cell proliferation and apoptosis suppression, thus promoting tumor formation [9,10]. Among the ROS, H 2 O 2 has sparked huge interest in anticancer therapies as not only is it the main substance in the cellular response to oxidative stress, but it is also able to pass through cell membranes over a relatively long lifetime. In addition, cancer cells have metabolic and signaling aberrations, and thus exhibit an enhanced H 2 O 2 level that differs from that in normal cells [11,12]. Therefore, the measurement of intracellular H 2 O 2 could be of great value in clarifying its role in oncogenesis and exploring advanced therapeutic strategies for cancer and other ROS-related diseases.Although various analytical techniques for measuring H 2 O 2 , such as spectrophotometry and chemiluminescence, have been developed, they still suffer drawbacks such as low detection limits and complex processing when faced with the challenge of achieving detection limits in the nanomolar range in living cells [13,14]. In this study, 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole (35DT) was deposited on the gold electrode (Au) to fabricate a new sensor and used for the determination of ephinephrine (EP). Comparing with the bare Au and modified electrode (35DT-Au), the 35DT-Au modified electrode has higher catalytic activities towards the oxidation of EP. CVs of 1mM 35DT on the bare Au electrode (10 cycle) Purpose: The aim of this study to develop a new and applicable modified electrode in real samples such as drugs used for the determination of EP. Theory and Methods: Epinephrine (EP) is found in biological body fluids. If strong emotions such as fear or anger are felt, EP is released into the bloodstream and causes an increase in heart rate, blood pressure and sugar. Many physiological events are associated with EP levels in body fluid. Therefore, determination of EP concentration in pharmaceutical samples and various biological fluids is important for pharmacological research. The electrochemical behavior of EP on the 35DT-Au surface was investigated using the DPV and CV techniques and optimum conditions was determined. Results: The accuracy and precision studies for EP determination in the drug sample were expressed in values of RSD% and bias%, respectively. The bias% values for the determination of drug samples containing 5 μM and 15 μM EP were 0.4% and-4.07%, respectively; BSS% values were calculated as 0.4% and 2.72%, respectively. Conclusion: In this study, a gold electrode modified with 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole was used for EP determination. It is important to develop methods for the determination of EP, since the concentration of EP in the body fluid is lower or higher than the normal level, leading to various diseases. The modified electrode showed a wide linear working range compared to the modified electrodes prepared by alternative methods in the literature. Furthermore, the preparation of this sensor is simple and fast. The proposed sensor (35DT-Au) provided accuracy, selectivity, short measuring time, ease of preparation, good accuracy and good analytical performance. This modified electrode preparation process is a simple and fast process, does not require any pretreatment, and shows satisfactory stability and reproducibility, provides a good alternative to current studies in the literature. In addition, the EP electrode was successfully applied with the modified electrode.
