Enterprise resource planning adoption model for well-informed decision in higher learning institutions

Abstract: Enterprise resource planning (ERP) has been found to have a key role in the management of higher learning institutions (HLIs) and schools. However, the literature shows no universal model to support and shed light on the adoption of ERP, which lessens the chances for an effective ERP adoption and usage. Therefore, a new model is needed for successful adoption and the eventual enhanced decision-making, and as such, there is a need to investigate the factors that can bring about ERP system adoption. Models for E… Show more

“…The statement from VILs signifies the importance of professional development to enable independent curriculum exploration. Connected to this idea, also information from Psychology The TAM is compatible and applicable to this study since it seeks to investigate user behaviour, design user-friendly technologies, and develop strategies to promote technology acceptance and willingness to use (Mukred et al, 2024). This finding implies that professional development related to ATs applications for VILs and VIS is important since there are frequently newly invented gadgets with updated features requiring training.…”

“…The strengths of TAM are based on simplicity and explanatory power in predicting user acceptance of technology (Anggraeni, 2024). However, TAM is criticized due to its focus on individual beliefs and attitudes, overlooking contextual and social factors that may impact technology acceptance in real-world settings (Mukred et al, 2024). The TAM is appropriate to this study for seeking to investigate user behaviour, design user-friendly technologies, and develop strategies to promote technology acceptance and usage.…”

“…More importantly, technology acceptance is deemed to determine successful product/technology adoption, and its examination from the user’s perspective can provide new information concerning the likes and dislikes of its various features, the product, and the user’s attitude toward it (Hawash et al, 2023; Mukred et al, 2023). Therefore, a systematic literature review on the topic must present a complete picture of the acceptance level of big data technology.…”

“…Nevertheless, the volume of big data continues to grow significantly. At the same time, SMEs face challenges in effectively analyzing and interpreting this vast amount of data due to constraints in available methods, technologies, tools, and processes (Baki, 2022; Mukred et al, 2023; Sena et al, 2019).…”
