Enzymic Synthesis of Polysaccharides: a Biological type of Polymerization

Abstract: Moleczcles can combine to form larger molecules either by addition or by condensation, and two corresponding types of polymerization may be recognzzed. The formation of polyoxymethylene from formaldehyde is addition or A polymerization. The formation of polyethylene glycol directly from ethylene glycol is condensation or C polymerization.
