Epidemic outbreaks of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus

Abstract: Analysis of annual and seasonal incidence of insulindependent diabetes mellitus in children living in 4 Russian cities in the 1980ies has shown only four rises of annual morbidity in three cities, but only one of them recorded in 1983 in Moscow conformed to the criteria of an epidemic outbreak of the disease.
