“…Among the 112 cases of EGR reported in the literature, 83 cases of true EGR have been recognized (Fig. 1), whereas 29 cases have been considered as different dermatoses mimicking EGR in their clinical presentation (‘EGR‐like’ eruption) 3–7 . In fact, some cases of bullous dermatoses, neutrophilic dermatosis or leukocytoclastic vasculitis in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, lupus erythematous gyratum repens, urticarial vasculitis, mycosis fungoides, annular skin lesions in patients with Syogren syndrome, erythrokeratodermia variabilis, erythema annulare centrifugum and erythema annulare of infancy may present with annular and figurate lesions resembling EGR (Fig.…”

“…Large cell transformation in mycosis fungoides is found in 7.4–23% of patients, and is associated with more advanced disease and worse prognosis 4,5 . In a review of the literature, only three cases were reported of mycosis fungoides producing an eruption resembling erythema gyratum repens 3,6,7 . Two of the cases were directly linked to dermatophyte superinfection 6,7 .…”

“…4,5 In a review of the literature, only three cases were reported of mycosis fungoides producing an eruption resembling erythema gyratum repens. 3,6,7 Two of the cases were directly linked to dermatophyte superinfection. 6,7 The third case reported a patient with a single lesion with concentric, wood-grain erythema located on the trunk.…”

“…Although both EGR and EAC are classified as reactive figurate erythemas, the former has a much stronger association with internal malignancy. Several skin conditions, such as mycosis fungoides, 1 urticarial vasculitis, 2 bullous disorders, 3,4 psoriasis, 5 erythrokeratoderma 6 and systemic lupus erythematosus 7 should be distinguished from EGR. Our case suffered from mononeuropathy which has not been described as a complication of EAC or EGR.…”
