Berta et al 14 studied the dependency ratio between breakfast frequency and nutritional status and observed a higher risk for overweight/obesity among those who skipped breakfast on a daily basis compared to those who had breakfast (OR: 1.48). Although this analysis used the breakfast habit as dependent outcome measure, other studies 29 suggested that the association between skipping breakfast and the overweight/obesity prevalence was global, regardless of socioeconomic and cultural differences among countries.…”
