Estimation of a Role of Transforming Growth Factor-Beta in Formation of Diabetic Nephropathy in Children With Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract

The level of transforming growth factor-beta 1 in children with diabetes mellitus was examined. This level was increased in dependence of the disease duration and had a direct relationship with the insulin-therapy. The revealed changes can develop against the background of morpho-functional nephropathies.
