Estimation of glass transition temperature of polysulfone-modified epoxy binders

Abstract: The properties of polysulfone modified epoxy binders, which are intrinsic for their high deforma tion characteristics, are given. The experimental results of the impact strength, bend strength, and glass tran sition temperature are given. The procedure of the measurement of the temperature range, at which there is a glass transition, is given. It has been shown that the amount of the introduced polysulfone to the binder has a greater influence on the temperature range where the change of the glass transition t… Show more

“…1(d), is potentially understood by the notion of double-helical 'molecular drills' piercing the polymer lm, and when they move to other locations, the centrifugal force results in collapse of the holes, trapping liquid at the base, with smoothing of the upper surface. The ability for the uid ow to pierce the polymer layer is consistent with the friction associated with the double-helical ow striking the surface of the tube thereby increasing the temperature of the liquid, and the melting the polymer which has an onset of glass transition >120 C. 26 In addition, the pattern of holes is commensurate with the presence of arrays of Faraday waves on larger length scales.…”

“…Nowadays majority of scientists generally research impact of only one composite material's component. The most common are characteristics and influence of polymer matrix [6][7][8][9] on any of quality parameters, e.g. strength.…”

“…The development of new polymer composite materials is one of the most promising ways to develop new technologies. This is due to the unique mechanical and thermophysical properties of the composites [1][2][3]. For a long time, the high cost of production of structures made of polymer composite materials was a major obstacle to their widespread use.…”
