Estimation of the Slope of Polarization Curves in the Vicinity of the Corrosion Potential

Abstract: Numerical methods were used to derive an improved estimate of the slope of the polarization curve in the vicinity of the corrosion potential. The resulting three'point linear polarization equation has the same form as the conventional two-point equation, but yields a substantially more accurate value for the corrosion current.
