Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) as one of the religious-based educational institutions must have a deeper side in the field of religious competence of its students. One of the programs that are widely implemented in school that have a religious orientation is the tahfidzul Quran program. MI Darul Hikmah is one of the madrasas that continues to be committed to running this program even in the covid-19 pandemic. This research aims to describe and analyze the tahfidzul Quran program in MI Darul Hikmah which is used as an effort to strengthen the competence of islamic madrasas that expressly declare as an educational institution oriented to islamic education. This research is qualitative research with this type of case study. Its data collection techniques use observations, interviews, and dokumentation. While the techniques of data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study showed that the tahfidzul Quran program in MI Darul Hikmah was used to strengthen the competence of its students with three main skills: rading the Quran, writing the Quran, and memorizing the Quran juz 30. The smoot implementation of this program during the covid-19 pandemic is inseparable from the important role of headmaster, escort teachers, and parent.
