Evaluating the state of enterprise training for postgraduate researchers in the UK

Abstract: Purpose -This paper seeks to provide insight into the state of enterprise education and skills training at postgraduate level at UK higher education institutions (HEIs).Design/Methodology/Approach -Case study Approach. “…These students explained that the main reasons for their lack of interest in pursuing self-employment and entrepreneurship were a lack of initial start-up capital, the risk involved in entrepreneurial activity, and a lack of knowledge about the business world and markets (Duval-Couetil et al, 2012).
