ÖzetAmaç: Psödoeksfolyasyon sendromlu (PES) hastalar›n IOLMaster ve optik koherens tomografi (OKT) kullan›larak elde edilen ön segment parametrelerinin sa¤l›kl› kontrol grubu ile karfl›laflt›r›lmas› Gereç ve Yöntem: Psödoeksfolyasyon saptanan 45 hastan›n 45 gözü ve sa¤l›kl› kontrol grubu olarak çal›flmaya dahil edilen 45 hastan›n 45 gözü IOLMaster ve OKT ile de¤erlendirildi. IOLMaster ile elde edilen aksiyel uzunluk (AU), ön kamara derinli¤i (ÖKD), kornea kurvatürü (KK) de¤erleri ile OKT ile elde edilen ön kamara aç›s› (ÖKA) ve santral kornea kal›nl›¤› (SKK) de¤erleri iki grup aras›nda karfl›laflt›r›ld›. Sonuçlar: Psödoeksfolyasyon sendromlu hastalar›n yafl ortalamas› 67,7±6,4 y›l, sa¤l›kl› kontrol grubunun yafl ortalamas› 66,0±7,3 y›l idi (p=0,805). Ameliyat öncesi hekime yol gösterebilecek bu yöntemler ile saptanan AU, ÖKD, ÖKA, SKK ve KK de¤erleri aç›s›ndan PES'li ve sa¤l›kl› bireyler aras›nda fark yoktur.(TOD Dergisi 2010; 40: 217-21) Anahtar Kelimeler: Psödoeksfolyatif sendrom, IOLMaster, optik koherens tomografi, ön segment parametreleri Summary Purpose: To compare the anterior segment parameters of pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PES) patients and healthy control subjects using IOLMaster and optical coherence tomography (OCT). Material and Method: Forty-five eyes of 45 patients with PES, and 45 eyes of 45 healthy control subjects were evaluated with IOLMaster and OCT. Axial length (AL), anterior chamber depth (ACD), and corneal curvature (CC) measured with the IOLMaster, as well as anterior chamber angle (ACA) and central corneal thickness (CCT) determined by OCT were compared between the two groups. Results: The mean age of PES patients was 67.7±6.4 years and of healthy control group was 66.0±7.3 years (p=0.805). AL was found to be higher in the PES group, but the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant (p=0.416). Although ACD, ACA and CCT parameters were higher in the control group, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (p=0.435, p=526, p=0.315). Discussion: IOLMaster and OCT are rapid, non-invasive techniques in the evaluation of anterior segment parameters that do not require local anesthesia, provide high patient comfort, and are easy to learn and apply. AL, ACD, ACA, CCT and KK determined with these methods preoperatively may help guide the physician, and there is no difference between the values of PES patients and healthy individuals.
