Abstract:Modified forms of chitosan beads were prepared and used for removal of trivalent chromium (Cr III) from different pH aqueous media. Modified chitosan were characterized by using FTIR, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Adsorption experiments were carried out in a batch process and some experimental parameters (initial chromium ion (Cr III) concentration, contact time, pH and temperature) were optimized. The experimental results were fit well to the Langmuir isotherm and followed a … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
