Evaluation of diagnostic assay of patients with enteric fever by the box-plot distribution method

Abstract: Enteric fever is an invasive bacterial infection mostly caused by Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi, which is a common agent of enteric fever. This illness has been a major public health issue, as it affects a large number of individuals globally. The box-plot analytic method is involved in exploratory data analysis using statistical techniques to identify patterns that may be hidden in a group of numbers used to visually summarize and compare groups of data. We evaluted the effect of en… Show more

“…The box plot compares the distribution characteristics of different networks in the training time, which mainly contains 6 key nodes: the data, the upper edge, the upper quartile , the median, the lower quartile , and the lower edge. When a data point is outside the range of (where ), it is considered an outlier [ 62 ]. The time needed for training LEAP is shorter than that of the two other models.…”

“…Positive antigen O and antigen H indicate typhoid infection if the Widal test range is greater than or equal to 1 : 160 titer 14 . If the the H antigen titer is positive, the patient has a history of typhoid fever infection, and if the TO titer is positive, the patient is currently infected with typhoid fever 15 . The mainstay and only effective treatment for typhoid fever infection is antibiotics that kill the S. typhi bacteria 16 .…”

“…Positive antigen O and antigen H indicate typhoid infection if the Widal test range is greater than or equal to 1:160 titre [13]. If the TH titer is positive, the patient has a history of typhoid fever infection, and if the TO titer is positive, the patient is currently infected with typhoid fever [14].The mainstay and only effective treatment for typhoid fever infection is antibiotics that kill the Salmonella typhi bacteria [15]. In many resource-limited areas, uoroquinolones have become affordable and the treatment of choice for typhoid fever [16].…”
