Evaluation of E-selectin rs 5367 C/T Polymorphism in Iraqi Diabetic Foot patients

Abstract: Diabetic foot is inflammation disease, including inflammation factors; such as ESelectin. The study aimed to evaluate E-selectin gene SNP rs 5367 C/T polymorphisms with other factors in the Iraqi diabetic foot patients. The study was conducted on 100 Iraqi individual, 50 patients with diabetic foot and 50 as control group. 10ml of blood samples were taken to measured biochemical and genetic variations. The results showed significantly increasing in all biochemical parameter in patient compare to control group … Show more

“…This agreement may occur because these SNPs may be considered common genotypes in the Iraqi population, with wild-type alleles having protective fraction susceptibility and the mutant allele having an environmental fraction. This result aligns with a previous study on type 2 diabetes mellitus [ 18 ]. Other Iraqi studies have emphasized that heterozygous genotypes in different SNPs of the SELE gene could be a risky genotype for type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Iraqi population [ 19 ].…”

“…These results prove that the biosynthetic ZnONPs are more effective and inhibiting on cancer cell lines and safer, less expensive and easier to prepare than other methods (physical or chemical). These results are consistent with the findings of studies [22][23][24][25][26] . The cytotoxicity of biosynthetic ZnONPs may be due to the release of dissolved zinc ions within cells and the induction of reactive oxygen species (ROS).…”

“…The results of (the SEM) Scanning Electron Microscope are most of the ZnONPs are dense and spherical in shape ranging in size from (20-61) nanometers; in another study, ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized using plant extracts, the researchers observed that the SEM images at room temperature and 90 °C had 50 nm and 40 nm size and spherical morphology 21,22 . reaches 10.99% in cervical cancer cells at a concentration of 800 µg/ml.…”

“…This observation may highlight the role of the SELL polymorphism in IVF outcome. A different studies emphasize that different genes are associated with infertility and endometriosis one of them is SELL [22][23][24] . The present study agrees with study in Iran that showed E-Selectin mutant genotype frequency was significantly higher in Coronary Patients pathogenesis 25 .…”
