Evaluation of fine needle aspiration cytology in the diagnosis of soft tissue tumors and its correlation with histopathological findings

Abstract: Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) is a safe, reliable and cost effective tool that is used in the diagnosis of lesions in various organs. The diagnostic accuracy has significantly improved recently due to cytopathologists accumulating experience with this method and with the advent of diagnostic radiologic modalities.
