Objetive. To investigate the effect of environmental scanning on the relationship between individual and organizational factors and the use of information by the electronic publishing managers. Method. The current research is completely practical. The survey-analytical method was applied on 152 managers which were active in the electronic publishing industry. Data was collected through a researcher-made questionnaire. Results. As the average results indicate, individual factors (information awareness = 16.21 and information disclosure =7.039), organizational factors (information climate = 7.105 and external attention = 9.96), T value in environmental scanning (50.197) and the use of information (62.92) are above the average level. The analysis and explanation of the findings in this case reveals that after imposing of a mediator, the β value was changes subsequently from (β=0.576) and (β=0.0383) to (β =0.267) and (β=0.341). This means and reinforces the trivial but crucial effect of the mediator. Conclusions. The positive attitudes toward the informational based activities, intermittent interaction with experts with high and enriched informational backgrounds and resources, the amount of conditional and organizational access to information and finally the reciprocal action with the environment has a great impact on the amount of environmental scanning and information to which the managers use.

In order to stay competitive, manufacturing companies seek to enhance the accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of their sustainability efforts. This can be achieved through implementing data-driven and dynamic sustainability measurement throughout product life cycles. We introduce a maturity model for assessing and improving data-driven sustainability management, encompassing eight technical and organizational dimensions derived from both theory and practitioner insights through a design science research approach. We detail the maturity levels within each dimension, providing insights into companies' progress. For instance, in data handling and data sensors, companies move from basic implementation to real-time integration and cloud connectivity. The model also highlights challenges, such as collecting sustainability background data, formulating sustainability KPIs, and how to tailor sustainability communication. We emphasize the importance of aligning sustainability efforts with strategic business outcomes and the role of a pervasive data culture within companies. The article concludes with considerations for future research and model refinement.

Disadvantages of news aggregators in capitalist countries: overview and critique

The objectives of the article were to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the most popular science news aggregators in capitalist countries, created as a communication tool between scientists and journalists. For the recent research the methods of analysis were used, especially SWOT analysis and synthesis method. 10 main criteria of science news aggregators were observed and highlighted by analyzing recent science news aggregators from all over the world such as: EurekaAlert, PhysOrg, ScienceDaily, Science Seeker and Open Science. As a result, the study looked at the dual issue of funding, where government funding of aggregators allows authorities to control the process of publishing information while support is stable. At the same time, crowdfunding funds or platforms allow an aggregator to exist without political bias, but without strong confidence in its future existence. The results obtained allow us to conclude that, the points considered in the relationship between capitalism and aggregators are of great importance to create a high-quality scientific news aggregator at national and international level.
