This study aims to determine the views of secondary education teachers and school administrators onpositive organizational climate. Case study which is one of the qualitative research methods was usedin the study. A total number of 15 participants (12 secondary education teachers and 3 schooladministrators) constituted the study group of the research. A semi-structured interview formdeveloped by the researchers was used as the data collection tool and the obtained data were analyzedwith content analysis method. Results are presented with themes and frequencies in the tables. Resultsare discussed with relevant literature and recommendations for further research and practices areprovided. It is expected that this study would shed light to further research and practices in terms ofcreating a positive organizational climate in secondary education institutions.Keywords: Organizational climate, secondary education teachers, school administrators, views.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilkokul öğretmenlerinin algılarına göre okul iklimi, işe yabancılaşma ve örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2020–2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında Erzurum ili merkez ilçelerinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı 126 ilkokulda görev yapmakta olan 1223 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, tabakalı örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen 347 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak; “Okul İklim Ölçeği”, “İşe Yabancılaşma Ölçeği” ve “Örgütsel Vatandaşlık Davranışı Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya sonuçlarına göre ilkokul öğretmenlerinin okul iklimine ilişkin genel algıları yüksek, işe yabancılaşmaya ilişkin genel algıları çok düşük ve örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışına ilişkin genel algıları ise çok yüksek olarak tespit edilmiştir. Okul iklimi alt boyutlarından demokratiklik ve okula adanma, liderlik ve etkileşim, başarı etkenleri, samimiyet boyutları ile işe yabancılaşma arasında negatif yönde anlamlı; okul iklimin çatışma boyutu ile işe yabancılaşma arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Regresyon analizi sonuçlarına göre; okul iklimi ölçeğinin alt boyutlarının işe yabancılaşmayı ve örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışını anlamlı düzeyde yordadığı görülmüştür.

This aim of this study is to examine the relationship between participation and academic emphasis in schools based on the views of school principals. The research group consists of 828 Turkish school principals who participated in The Teaching and Learning International Survey [TALIS] 2018. Within the scope of the research, the school leadership scale was used to determine the approaches of school principals on the participation of teachers, the participation among stakeholder scale was utilized to determine the views on stakeholder participation and the academic pressure scale to determine the academic emphasis of the school. In order to determine the participation level, the school leadership scale and the participation among stakeholders scale were combined in the path analysis. In the analysis of the data, t-test, ANOVA and the LSD test as post hoc tests, the Pearson Correlation analysis and the path analysis were used. As a result of the research, it was determined that school principals’ views were close to high level regarding teacher and stakeholder participation and high level regarding academic emphasis. It was observed that there are significant positive correlations between teacher participation, stakeholder participation and academic emphasis, and school principals’ views on participation is a significant predictor of academic emphasis.
