Abstract:The process of evaporation of sessile water droplets on a heated substrate was experimentally studied. A droplet evaporation is a fundamental phase change process which requires thorough consideration in various conditions. In this work we investigated the evaporation of water droplets on the smooth copper substrate with a circle groove made on its surface, which helped to keep the sessile droplet stable. Thus, the contact area of the evaporating droplet with the substrate remained constant, while the contact … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
