Events and Event Processes

Abstract: Events and Event ProcessesPresented article describes the issues known from the logical structures characterization theory [2] used in this case to describe the events designed for the needs of proper functioning of organizational structures. Necessary formalization is used strictly for the maintenance of the concept discipline. Event theory [5] is used in the designing of complex structures of organizational systems for which the basic necessity is its compliance with the set functional description. Final org… Show more

“…As part of experiment I, we will consider an example of the application of the characterization principle to the design of the logical structure of processes given by sequences of coincident events (Krupa, 2009a;Krupa, 2009c). For this purpose, we will express n alternative sequences of permissible concurrent events, described by the expression:…”

“…We have included flat graph models, hierarchical models and hypergraph models to interpret the topological understanding of security (Krupa, 2009;Krupa and Ostrowska, 2007). The latter, by definition, aspires to the most general.…”

“…This type of solution also allows easily changing the time parameters and priorities of events during the initiated operation. Due to the discrete events and operations, it is also possible to use a special modeling apparatus of concurrent processes, for example, as Petri net, transforming network (T-network) or event algebra [10,11,13]. This apparatus is particularly suitable for the design of asynchronous control systems for discrete objects.…”

“…The calculation of these functions will be called logically valid (valid in a logical sense) if they take place in accordance with the logical correctness of the axiomatic system specific for the network of N functions. Presented below axiom of extensionality, feasibility and compatibility (axiomatic CFC) is the result of the analytical work on multiple models of concurrent discrete processes, such as regular expression language [1,11], machine scheme and operators [1, 3], a Petri net, transforming networks [10,13,14] and others.…”
