An analysis of 3587 r + -• ir J nr + -\-w + decay events is presented. These events were found in an area scanning of an emulsion stack of 600-jx Ilford G5 emulsion pellicles exposed to a 300-MeV/c separated K + beam at the Bevatron of the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory. The pion energy spectra are compared with the predictions of linear-matrix-element theory, the pion-pole model, and the s-wave resonance model, and with the existing spectra of the secondaries from 17, T*, T', and K2*.
