Abstract:We present new model calculations for exciton diffusion in Cu2O, results of a quantitative comparison to experimental data and finally an attempt to understand the discrepancy of the lifetimes deduced from transport measurements and intersubband transitions. For 1s densities below 10 19 cm −3 we find simple diffusive behavior (with lifetimes of at least 25 µs) but strong deviations thereof at even higher densities.
