Panorama: Genital prolapse is a prevalent condition and requires further studies regarding pelvic physiotherapy. Aims: To describe physiotherapeutic treatments in women with genital prolapse. Method: Literature review, scientific articles and course conclusion works (TCCs) available in the Medline, PubMed, Lilacs, Scielo and Google Scholar databases. Keywords: physiotherapy, Pelvic Floor and conservative treatment. Results: They indicate that physiotherapeutic treatments help in the treatment of Pelvic Floor dysfunctions as a way to prevent the appearance of prolapse, a condition that negatively affects sexual activity, body image and quality of life. Conclusion: Physiotherapy works both in prevention and treatment and aims to improve the strength of the pelvic floor muscles, preventing possible changes and their consequences.
